Joining our DAWN OF THE DEAD reunion at Living Dead Weekend is Claudio Simonetti. Claudio is a musician and film composer and was keyboardist of the progressive rock band Goblin, which wrote and performed the score for DAWN OF THE DEAD for both the US version and Dario Argento’s European version. Simonetti has specialized in the scores for Italian and American horror films since the 1970s. A long-time collaborator of director Dario Argento, Simonetti has worked on several of the director/producer’s films including Deep Red, Suspiria, Dawn of the Dead, Tenebrae, Phenomena, Demoni, and Opera. His work has long been an iconic staple of Italian genre cinema.
Claudio has been involved in many incarnations of “Goblin”, and currently is touring the US with his current rebranded “Claudio Simonetti’s Goblin” band playing live scores to films. They will be performing in Pittsburgh on October 22, 2026.
Claudio is a big fan of DAWN OF THE DEAD and is extremely excited to join us in the mall one last time, October 16-18, 2026.
